After reading all this I wish I would've bought a True flow Filter rather than my KN&N Filter. Maybe Auto Zone will return the KN&N if I complain about it.

I have noticed my runner has been running a little sluggish. The acceleration has been rather slow.

I will never ever use K&N again. I stick to OEM paper filters, which works great. Plus, I'm too lazy and impatient to clean or re-oil filters.

I love my true flow. Great filter.

When it comes time to clean it, be sure to get the true flow cleaning kit. It's pretty cheap and will last quite a few cleanings. It comes with a can of cleaner and can of oil. Here's a couple places that sell the cleaning kit:

$18 here:

$12 here:

I have to agree with pdyebrasil, I've always here K&N filters let in too much debris. Don't know if k&n still uses it, but their slogan use to be: "The dirty it gets, the better it works"...which in turn means, it takes a lot crap to clogged it up before it starts to work properly. I personally steer clear of anything k&n.

i have an Amsoil filter that i replaced with the Truflow filter last year. i thought it was supposed to be so great (the amsoil one), and it barely fit in the airbox and let so much of the tacky oil through into the MAF and the intake tube. i even washed it as per their directions and re-oiled it blotting up all the excess and got the same results. bought the Truflow and i've been happy with it thus far.

but, if you still want the Amsoil filter, i have one for sale and two bottles of the recharge oil, cheap.
