after engine rebuild, clutch problem

after engine rebuild, clutch problem
Ok I'm back working on my 4runner. I did a rebuild some months ago, then couldn't get the clutch to work, got busy and now I'm back at it. The clutch did work before the rebuild.
After engine rebuild, I couldn't get the clutch to engage. At this point I have put in a new slave cylinder, master cylinder, clutch line, pressure plate and flywheel. The pedal bracket is not broken or cracked, I have loosened the push rod on the master cylinder to max length. The clutch still feels "soft", but I'm getting about 1.25" of extension on the slave cylinder when I press the clutch pedal.
The 4runner is on an incline, I am wondering if I can't shift because the fluid level is low near the front of the transmission and high near the back. Has anyone had any experience with this?
Any suggestions are more than welcome. Thanks

Maybe you need to bleed the clutch hydraulics more also could be you got some wrong parts in the correct box.
Look real close at your slave and master cylinders look at the throw out bearing any of those being wrong will cause the problem. Happens more and more
The transmission should go into gear no matter the incline

ive found sometimes or for some reason you cant force all the air out of a clutch fluid system.
we had an NSX we did some clutch work on and for the life of me i could not get all the air out of the system, i had to use a manual vacume bleeder with the little cup on it that takes up the fluid as you bleed
Mine is a mightyvac system and they are cheep
also are you using the same clutch set and flywheel that was originally on the truck befor the rebuild or is it all new
and wyoming 9 is correct ive started seeing more wrong parts in the right box from aftermarkets lately
