Adjustable rear proportioning valve?
I asked this question over in the TrailTalk forum, but didn't get much response. Any help over here would be great...
I am trying to find a way to adjust the rear proportioning valve on my 92. I know you can weld on new bracket or 'bend' the bar more horizontally, but there is also a screw that goes into the back of the valve.
Is this definitely an adjusting screw? Anyone used it with success?
If so, which way for MORE rear brakes?? I think i could use a little more in the rear when stopping and this would be great if it was this simple.
Thanks!
J.

J with the Downey kit it moves the LPSV down so I guess if you moved it up it would in theory have more braking. Is this right?? (I'm a bit hungover ) I didn't notice an adjustment screw. Can someone with a service manual look up the specs for that. Here's a pic of the drop bracket that downey makes. Maybe you can fab something similiar up.

J, try this factory 2nd gen manual and see if it shows how to do it.
The site is from Dan.
I have the whole Zip file, but have not read all of them to see the detail.
I do believe a lot of it is the factory manuals.
This is the same thing that you see on Ebay when someone is selling a factory manual on CD.
