I've got an '02 4Runner with Sway-Away coilovers in the front and was wondering if I'd benefit any from upgrading the stock swaybars to Addco's swaybars? Any comments out there??? Thanks!!

Don't know anything about SAW's. Before I added the Addcos, I had a Revtek spacer lift w/ new Bilsteins. It almost felt like I would get a little air on the freeway over 70 mph when I hit a bump or groove in the road (very frightening). The Addcos have made this feeling go away. I know can attack the turns aggressively w/ little worry.

It's made the truck very fun for me to drive on-road. As you probably know, the sway bars are more a detriment off-road. Good luck.

Was the install difficult at all?

From what my buddy said (he did the install), it would be easy with two people. He said that to get all the bushings on with the bolts that came on your stock truck, it was a PITA for one person. It took him 1/2 hour for the front when it could have been a 10 minute job. Just make sure you have someone that can help you hold it up and twist accordingly on the install.

The only neg is articulation ...but disconnects will fix that.
Before disconnects, I lost front end droop with the Addco.

Addco in front with Sway bar disconnects was the hot set up on my lifted and SC'd 99.

I went with just a front Addco and left the rear stock. Considering I was more than 2 inches talled than stock, I corned flatter with the Addco than at stock height with the OEM sway bar. Ride was unaffected to me. The reason I did NOT go with a rear bar is with an open rear diff and an overly stiff rear sway bar is that you will pick up the rear inside rear wheel when cornering hard which can be fun if you are now trying to put the 200 plus rwhp the SC gives through an airborne tire

At the limit, I just pushed (understeered) which was a safe warning that I should slow down a hair.

The articulation with the front Addco disconnected and the rear bar still attached was excellent.

I also has SAWs.

Install is easy but time consuming for the reason listed above. I ended up using 4 axle stands to hold the bar in place while I hooked it up as it is heavy after a while (the Addco weights prolly 10lbs more than the stock one).

Also remember that some of the stock hardware is captive (e.g. welder to the brackets ) for the main bushings ...
