that's the only place I order stuff from. Just one word of advice though. don't order on Monday and think you'll have your stuff by the weekend if you are east of Houston, TX. Every time I order from there, the processing takes about 2 days, then another day to get it to the shipping, then another 5-7 days. I ordered a cv boot kit 2 Thursdee's and just got it yesterday here in Greenville. My plans for doing it last weekend was shot. but they are great to work with and have never messed an order of mine up and their cheap.

Someday you too with come up with an original idea. Until then we'll just have to wait for the light bulb to come on.

Someone should get some facts from Toyota about the spring rates and lengths of the various coils in consideration (4Runner, Tundra, Sequoia) so we can compare them to each other and to the Old Man Emus.

Thanks for nominating yourself. Good luck with that endeavor.

yea, two weeks ago I had to lean over the parts counter and show the guy how to find my front diff on his computer so I could point to him the output shaft seals I needed. the guy tried to tell me that my 4runner doesn't have a front diff!! hehe, needless to say, unless you can get ahold of the actual parts and test them your self or find the guy who designed them then I think it's a waste of time. hehe.

OK, here's my deal...The coils I ordered turned up under a search for 2003 Toyota Tundra 4x4 V8 TRD. We chose the longest pair of coils-they happened to be from a 02 Tundra-we coudn't tell the difference of TRD, period.

Today, I canceled that order, I was afraid I threw almost 200 bones out the window for nothing. My biggest issue is that SO MANY coils of SO MANY different lengths are made for the 4x4 Tundra V8. There were two pages on the parts guy's screen. More coils than there are color combinations on that chart. I don't know which coils to order. Nobody may be able to (easily) find the EXACT coils Andy has. For now, I have no coils on order.

Do we have any flex pics of the tundra coils that we can see? I have seen the pics of the Frankenstein setup with 4runner coils and want to compare the flex and such of the tundra setup. I'm sure the tundra setup is sweet but pics would be stylin...Sorry to ask this if they have already been posted. I have not been able to read all the pages on this topic. You guys are 11 pages deep I think...

Should've gone back to page 9...

Flex info:

(from center of hub vertically to bottom of limited flare)

Note: As you can see in the last two pics, the front didn't bottom out on the bumpstop and the upper A Arm did not touch the spring. No tire left the ground. I couldn't get it to max the front because the driver-side rear tire was about to rip off my flare. If I were to put a rock under the driver rear tire, then I could probally squeeze 8" of travel out of the front and maybe, just maybe a touch over. I gotta get that BL on for sure.

Front normal height: 21.75"
Front compressed height: 17.5"
Front extended height: 24.75"
Front overall travel: 7.25"
% of comp/extension: 58% of travel is compression
42% of travel is extension

Rear normal height: 22.00"
Rear compressed height: 14.00"
Rear extended height: 31.00"
Rear overall travel: 17.00"
% of comp/extension: 47% of travel is compression
53% of travel is extension

Pics of position during measurement:

Andy, did you perhaps measure your coils? I don't know how easily you got that part number. I ask for one thing, none of them differentiate TRD or otherwise. Makes me loco.

Of course I did. I'm an engineer, aren't I???

Tundra 2WD Regular Coils that I had on before:
14.5" and 14.625"... converts to 368mm and 371mm

Tundra 4WD TRD Coils that I have now
14.75" and 15.0"... converts to 375mm and 381mm

Looks like the 2WD Tundra Coils may in fact be the same as the 1999/2000 4Runner front coils. Who the hell knows at this point. If that were true, then they'd have the same part number and the same paint code, so I guess that idea is out. The facts I know are the paint codes and the lengths. Now you have ALL the info I have at this point.

Tomorrow I'll find out if I have the 2WD Red TRD Tundra Bilsteins or the 4WD Red TRD Tundra Bilsteins, because today I found out they are VERY different... Go figure.

Something else to consider:

2000-2002 Tundra

Stock 4X2 coils
- drivers: yellow-white
- passengers: blue-white

Stock 4X4 coils
- drivers: yellow-green
- passengers: blue-green

TRD 4X2 coils
- drivers: yellow-yellow
- passengers: blue-yellow

TRD 4X4 coils
- drivers: red-yellow
- passengers: purple-yellow

My old coils were yellow-white and blue-white. The new ones are red-yellow and purple-yellow. As long as the codes carry over for 2003, then I have the TRD 4X4 coils. Then according to about 10 people on Tundrasolutions.com, I would have the following part numbers:

48131-AF090 right AND 48131-AF100 left

This is what about ten people have done since mid august on 2WD Tundras using these part numbers. They have reported the same color scheme that I have and they report about a 1.5" lift from the coils when compared to the regular 2WD coils. I am 99.9% sure that these are the coils I have. They guy that I bought mine from has not responded to my email yet with confirmation.

Odd..For the part number you provided, I was told they were (from memory) 369 & 373. The coils I ordered (as I remember) were very close to those numbers from your 4x4 coils, possibly the same. Can anybody confirm the length with Toyota by part number?

I called around to my two favorite dealers in Cali this afternoon and none of them were able to pull up any lenghts....which I found weird. I'm going to order the parts by the numbers you gave out from Connicelli, and measure them. That should be the tell all, and I can send them back if need be.

I ordered the Yellow/Blue HD Billies from PP.

Basically we need to get the part numbers for the Tundra coils you have now, since they are on par with the Sequoia coils. I have no clue what those part numbers are. My Tundra number come up short.

That's a bunch of BS. I went behind the counter and looked at the screen, the way the Techs determine which spring they have is by length. They ALL had that listed.

I think you need to make these your un-favorite local dealers, what a bunch of (.)(.)

I saw that exact screen locally (lander, wy). Thats when I saw two pages of springs that came up for 03 Tundra 4x4 V8 TRD. I failed to write anything down. I know those specs exist.

I got an email back from the guy I got the springs from. He got them from the dealer and has the receipt somewhere around the house. He's going to look for it and let me know. If nothing else, the dealer may have a record of what he ordered under his name.

I will just follow the posts untill i find the right springs. I need to think about what to do for a little bit first. I am sick of taking the front end apart.
I'm in the same boat. I'm interested to find the right springs as well. Must do my homework...before I end up making a bigger mess than I want to clean up.
