I have a new (to me) 1997 4runner. The climate slider is stuck at half way. The slider goes all the way to the heater side of it, but the air won't be that hot. Once i slide it the other way, it stops at about half way... and the air is ice cold.

anyone know how to fix this?

 

sounds to me like it is going all the way to the cold side but half way to the hot side which would tell me there is an issue where it is connected behind the selector or at the door that moves in the plenum....
