Abs codes

I have a 2000 4Runner which just had the ABS light come on and stay on. I am on deployment so I had a friend look at it and he pulled codes 49 and 51. I understand 49 is something with the brake lights but all work. If someone has any help with this it would be greatly appreciated.

basically the code is for the stop light switch circuit. the lights may still work, but it sounds like there is an open in the signal wire. so basically the the brake lights come on, and it sends a signal voltage to your abs ecu, if it doesnt detect that signal while there are variation in wheel speed, it throws the code.

Thanks! It sounds as if I will have to do some wire chasing here when I get home next week to see if I can find where it is losing the signal. Any idea what code 51 is and could that possibly be causing the code 49.
