Hey Guys'
I just got done with my OEM pads and Brembo rotors.............and I just got back from my first "bedding in". Whew......that was crazy.
I may do another tomorrow because only half of the rotor looks to be making good contact with the new pads.

anyhoo.....here's a shot of the brake fluid I removed from my truck.

I decided to check my timing belt for wear. Watcha think??
Looks like new to me after 135,000 miles






One thing I would like to do is drain and fill my differential.
Is lucas diff oil good enough? Will the 16.00 purple do anything for me?
I'm guessing it's as simple as dropping that screw in plug and refilling until your level with the fill hole? Right?

Note: Make sure you remove the TOP fill plug before the bottom. The last thing you want is to drain your rear fluid, then find you can't get your fill bolt out to get it back in.

change your breathers also if cloged they make your seals leak!

This is a little off topic and I apologize but how do you take such clear close up pictures? Do you have a nice camera? Everytime I try to use my fiance's little point and shoot digital camera, I have a hard time focusing it on close up shots like that...

Also, I have close to that many miles on my timing belt and it looks the same. I think there is a whole thread dedicated to how many miles we 3rd gen owners have on the timing belt.

That belt looks good! Looks like mine (w/ 121k miles). I'm just keeping an eye on the water pump, because once that goes, the belt is toast. Also, for diff fluids, I changed all of mine with Amsoil 75w-90. Good stuff.

mjw - There is a macro setting that allows for close-up pics. Should be in your manual (if your camera is equipped).
