Hey everyone,
so, today my 99 4wd v6 runner brake booster started acting up.
3x while sitting at a light, the pedal goes rock hard and the car starts moving forward.
Then, it just goes away and the brakes work fine.
Does this sound like a bad brake booster and if so, what is the recommended part? An autozone part....salvage or oem ?

After poking round on the net.....a dirty booster check valve
should be checked first.
didnt help me.....it was the booster. Went to a pull a part place in phx and switched out the booster for 45 bucks from a salvage runner.
These days...i'll take a used toyo part over a new aftermarket junk part anyday !
