I’m in search of the correct Toyota part number for the black and white plastic clip that secures the two vacuum lines that go over the oil cap of my 1999 Tacoma 4x4 3.4 engine. The clip is manufactured from two pieces, the top black piece swivels on the white piece. The parts guys at the dealership aren’t able to find it in the illustrated parts breakdown, so I’m hoping to get some help from the Tacoma experts here.
I went back to the dealership and asked again. The best he could come up with was part number 82817-37200 and then tell me it was discontinued. Not sure if he was actually to busy to keep looking and gave up, or if the part he found that he said was discontinued was even the part I’m looking for. I know the illustrations in the parts catalog don’t always look the same as the parts they depict, but what he showed me wasn’t even close.
So part number 82711-35490 wasn’t what I needed. It was a dual type clip, but it was the kind that locks together on each side rather than just snap in.
Junkyard? Look at 4Runners too....anything 4wd in the right range of years may have what you want.
This site is awesome for that sort of thing... https://toyota-usa.epc-data.com/
you just have to get creative in finding the little things.
The link above is for the front diff vacuum piping on a 4Runner since I didn't have quite enough info for your Taco. I did guess a bit at the taco and came up with a like part number.
habanero, thank you! Your “long shot” was right on the money! The correct part number for the “CLAMP” I needed was indeed 90464-00618 that you found on the PWRTRAIN/CHASSIS GRP > 43-01 - FRONT AXLE HOUSING & DIFFERENTIAL illustrated parts breakdown. My dealer didn’t have the $3.50 part in stock, but they ordered it, and it arrived in about a week.
