99+ dash panel into 96-98

I remember seeing somebody had retrofitted the 99 center dash panel but I searched forever and couldn't find it. I kinda thought Bob_SR5 may have done it but didn't find it. Anybody have it bookmarked?

Nope, sorry. I'm looking to put in the 99 dash portion that surrounds the radio, where the clock is in the middle rather than on the left. It also has 2 extra 12v outlets and the ECT and rear window buttons are on it as well.

I just picked up the radio bezel myself this past weekend. I was looking to do this mod myself when I started the cup holder mod which is referred to earlier in this thread. I could not find a radio bezel, (black or woodgrain) when I got the center console to do the cup holder mod so I just modded the switches into the shifter console. I like the idea of having more outlets so installing this will make my center console more user friendly.

I was able to get not only the bezel but I got the connectors to all the bezel mounted switches with about 6-8 inches of each wire bundle from the connectors for all the switches in the 99+ bezel. Was able to get it complete with the vent duct for $42. I will be using the write up and hopefully the pics, to do the mod but will document my mod as well. I can't seem to get any of the pics to come up in my browser.

I have a set of factory service manuals with the electrical supplement for my 98 and tried downloading the same info from Toyota for a 99. Will try to track down the circuits to see if I can just do a wire for wire splice of some of the switches and controls. So if Rocket or NorCalVP wants to help with infor please feel free to post up. Freakin kills me that I just got the wood grain bezel from a 98 installed about a month ago! Also, if you check my cup holder mod write up in the Tech section, you will see I moved the switches in question (ECT, Rear Window and Security monitor) to the shifter console. If I find the woodgrain shifter console then I could just do the swap out that way and not have to mod the woodgrain shifter console. May have to see if I can find another junked 98 radio bezel and get the switches and cable connectors out of it to do the research before I start cutting mine out. Could be an interesting project.
