+99 Center Console Complete [Pics]
Well go something from the UPS folks on my porch when I got home from work. It was my +99 console and hardware from NorCalVP. Well I just couldn't wait till this weekend since I am heading to the beach for a week of vacation and had to get it put in, okay I was impatiant
Well it was simple and I like to thank Bob_98SR5 for his write up and answering a few of my questions and also SLC Punk for a few answered questions too. Bob with the right bracket and handbrake handle no need to cut anything its just a strait plug and play install, as for the electronics they were a matter of moving the wire to the front and moving the switches.

Well have a look through the album and there you will find pics as I went along. So for anyone thinking about this its easy just find a complete console and handle and one bracket and you will be good. I think this took me about 1.5hrs and that included taken the pictures as I went along.
Hope everyone enjoys !

So if you get the whole thing (console, handle, bracket) from a junkyard or whatnot, you don't have to drill or cut anything?

VA and WT:
to your questions, my writeup does say that buying all the parts will save you alot of time and allows you to skip certain steps:
"
ADDENDUM: READ THIS BEFORE YOU CONTINUE!
When I originally conceived of this mod in January 2003, I only started with the 99 center console shell and had to purchase the rest of the internal parts. The cost of this mod was approaching my threshold and thus, I modified and recycled many parts to make it "fit".
Roger from Colorado provided the best tip and improvement to this mod thus far: find a local junkyard or ebay seller and acquire the 99 e-brake assembly as well as the silver bracket. Buying from a junkyard or ebay will not only lower the cost of this mod, but also save you a significant amount of time---you can skip Parts 3 and 4. Steps 3 and 4 are labor intensive steps.
Keep this in mind when you read the rest of this write up. Enjoy!

It took me over 6mo to find that little storage compartment in the lid. My son was the one who actually found it by accident. I was like HEY COOL! I even looked at the bottom of it and wondered why all the dead space? Never ocurred to me to pull up on it without releasing the latch. I use this space to store all my gas receipts, a pen, and my tire guage. Kinda stealthy if you don't know about it.

which would be awesome if they didnt RATTLE SO MUCH!
i'm gonna cut up some rubber pieces and glue them in there to kill some of that sometime soon...
