So I’m replacing the bushings on the inside of the shifter and have it detached and out. While I was messing with the shank trying to fit it into the new bushings I somehow popped the release button off. It looks rather simple just a spring and a housing for the red lever looking triangle inside the shifter. (Will provide pictures) my question is how the heck do I get this thing back in. Should I force it to pop in and will I need to take apart the knob to get it back in right? Thanks in advance, driving me crazy.
