I recently changed my CV axles, I did not replace the seals though, to be honest I did not even check them. Well both axles are leaking from the diff end and gear oil is everywhere. I went to advanced Auto and order new seals, I just went and picked them up and the driver and passenger side have different part numbers, and one is bigger than the other.

Is this right? Is one sides seal suppose to be bigger than the other? I searched and could not find the answer, thank you for your help!

 

I'm pretty sure they are the same. I replaced one of mine last year and I don't remember there being two different part numbers. Check with your local Toyota dealer to be sure.
