99 4runner 4x4 light not working

Newbie here with an original 1999 Toyota 4runner limited with the v6 and automatic transmission. The transmission and transfer case were replaced and everything works fine except for the light itself..the 4x4 light won't come on if you engage the 4x4. Is the bulb bad or did a sensor go bad that is causing the light to not come on? Any help is greatly appreciated..also 228k original miles. Thanks!

**I tried searching before I posted and couldn't come up with a definite answer.

Might not ever been plugged back up when tranny/tcase swapped.

Look at the link I gave you. Find your FSM. Look at troubleshooting table for 4WD.

Pics there too.

I checked the FSM using the supplied link and it covers transfer case operation and it operates fine. I went ahead and swapped the sensors on the tcase and pulled the bulb in the dash and the bulb is still good. Any ideas please?
