99 4rnr rear wiper motor problems
#1
Hello all, new user here. Need help with a new used rear wiper motor I just installed. Had to replace the whole motor because of a broken nut on top of the spline, it rusted to the nut and broke off trying to change the wiper arm. 1999 4rnr ltd.
Now that the new motor is in, it will randomly stop when the cycle is done in a position at 1:00, 2:00, sometimes will stop close to the finish angle at 9:00. If it stops in it's finished position at 1, or 2, it then takes 3 to 4 tries to get the wiper arm back close to the 9:00 finished position.
The other weird thing is when you start the truck, even with the rear wiper off, it starts the wear wiper and it does three cycles then stops. Any help would be greatly appreciated! ! ! ! ! ! !

I had this problem too.
it was annoying to always have the wiper stop in different spots.
2 things solved it for me.. which one I can't exactly say as I didn't test them after each "repair"
1.) I'm sure you already have but double check all of the plugs in the rear hatch as I found some loose connections on mine.
2.)in the top corner of the hatch there is the wire harness for the whole rear end. unfortunately after years of opening the hatch the wire insulation became brittle and cracked causing me some shorts. the only way to see this is to pull pack the rubber dust boot and check the wires.
