My wife's 4-Runner has about 200k on the v-6 engine and it has started to stall when idling for several minutes. I'm not getting any check engine lights so I'm lost. Any ideas on where to look for TS advice?

 

Idle Air Control (IAC) is dirty. Needs to be cleaned. Its located directly beneath the throttle body! Do a search on here, there is a writeup in the forum somehweres. Takes about an hour to do, maybe a little longer if your clumsy like me.

 

Thanks, I found the thread on cleaning it, that's the first thing I'll try.

 

Yep IAC valve most likely or a really dirty air filter.

 

Just changed the air filter, change it every other time I change the oil.
