99-02 headlights on '98?

Has Any one with a 96-98 4Runner put in '99-'02 headlights? I want to change out the assemblies, but i cant find a way to do it that isn't too expensive. If anyone wants to buy my old ones, I will sell them. So far, the cheapest that I can find the new ones for is about $300 for the set. I have had the idea for a while, and i actually saw some one do it on a web site.

Yea, there are a few people around that have done it... although I am not one of them. I've looked into it before, but $150ea is the best price I could find for the projector lights. Only thing I can think of is if you get lucky, maybe you could find a set at a local junk yard for cheap.

Found mine at a junkyard. Walked out with both of them and a 4wd emblem for 150.00 total. They fit perfectly and look absolutely awesome.

$150 each is the best price for them new.

I added them to mine:

Install write-up on my 4Runner site in the pics&vids section.

After you add those you will want to upgrade your front corner lenses so they match. I do sell these:

I think the prices in my area have gone up. I got mine over a year ago and they only cost $146 each. I called the dealer today and now they're $212. Holy crap! A near $70 price hike? Are they that popular?

Well, your dealer is now selling them for RETAIL. That is the retail price on them.

the one thing I like about them is - - They are ALL GLASS! All the other cars out there use plastic.
