99-02 Headlight Swap Questions?

I am almost ready to do the 99+ headlight upgrade, but I was wondering if it is possible to use the frame from the old headlight on to the 99+ headlight? If it is, how hard is it and how long would it take?

I am wondering the same, how much the swap would be, and would it be a direct replacement or would you have to make modifications?

Vato when you find out please let me know. Gracias

i'm 99% sure it's a direct swap (someone confirm), you dont even have to reaim the headlights. jason burtman has a writeup on his page. good luck and happy holidays.

The 99+ headlight upgrade is a direct replacement on to the 96-98's. About my question SMR4Runner answered my question about using the frame from the 96-98 headlight and use it on the 99+ headlight. He says its a direct swap and the hardest part is removing the headlights.

How much would it be to buy 2 new clear headlamps without the basket that holds them?

Would you be able to ship to Canada?

and also....do they new headlamps perform better or do they just look better?

I think mine performed a little better. I think they allow more light to hit the road. I dont know if you can get the headlights without the mounts though. When I ordered mine they came with the mounts.

From what I heard, there is a 15-25% increase in better lighting. You don't have to order the frame/baskets when ordering the headlights because the frames/baskets are interchangeable between the headlights. I am using the frames/baskets from the 96-98 headlights on to the 99+ headlights.

Is that including shipping? I just need one passenger side headlight assembly sometime in a month or two.

No that is just the prices per lense, the shipping would be about $6.00 additional.
