98 tacoma knock sensor / cat delete question

hey all, i very recently bought a 98 tacoma w the 2.7 3rz-fe engine. when i bought it was throwing a p0420 code, some PO had removed the catalytic converter, as its a "off road only" kinda vehicle. just has a straight pipe. no big deal, well today it started throwing p0325 for the knock sensor, which i really dont wanna replace if i dont have to since its kinda a pain to get too. i feel like i do notice a lack of power, but im also used to driving a 6 cyl so maybe thats just throwing me off.
is it possible that the cat delete could be causing it to throw the knock sensor code? if i were to get one of those URD rear 02 simulators to trick the engine into thinking theres still a cat could that also resolve the knock sensor code? im likely going to try that anyway just to see what happens, but wanted to see if anyone had any insight here, thanks yall!

The lack of a cat and your knock sensor issue are most likely totally unrelated.

Not replacing the Knock sensor will not allow the ECM to adjust the timing if you have detonation if you can live with possible engine damage then don`t worry.
