hello my name is ed i am new to this forum. i have a question about my tacoma. i have a p0325 knock sensor code. i have replaced the knock sensor already. i have wired in a new pigtail from a v-6 harness and i still have the code. i have ohmed the wire from computer to connecter and it shows that the wire is good. i am running out of options. i have looked on alldata and it is very vauge about checking it. Any help would be appreciated.

 

well i finally fixed it. the harness was shorted to gound so i ran a new shielded wire from computer to the pigtail i installed and ended up having to get a knock sensor from toyota. i got my first knock sensor from orielys and that was a mistake. so if any one has to replace the knock sensor in your toyota only use a toyota knock sensor.

 

This could be my problem...

 

If I lug my truck for miles (riding thru the mtns) it will throw the same code before I can get home. Daily driving to work it will never come on. I ended up doing some seafoam in the oil and thru the brake booster to see if it helped any. So far no p0325 but I haven't had it in the mtns either. I got my knock sensor from rockauto but don't remember the brand, I may have to just buy a Toyota one as mentioned.
