98+ Front clip on 1996 Tacoma?

Hey All,

I just purchased a 96 for a really good deal, I am not however a big fan of the front clip and from a quick glance it looks like all I would need is '98+ headlights and grille. Is this correct?

Thanks!

Justin

welcome to the board-

hood is straight on the tacoma's where on the 4runners, it curves down at the grill. also fenders could be an issue

Maybe I should clarify, I'm looking to swap my 96 Tacoma Front end with a 98 Tacoma front end.

ok, well that's different then..... you'll probably need lights, the little piece that goes below the lights, grill, and a new front bumper cause the grill dips down into that area on the 98+

I was wondering the same thing,
If a 97 taco front end could be swapped out for a 98-01 front end? I searched on TTORA.com and came up with a few threads pertaining to this same topic and it sounded like everything bolted up exept you needed a core mount...dont know if that bolts on or has to be welded on?
