I have a 95 4rnr and the elec system is acting crazy..sometimes it wont re-start after shutdowm,when driving if I hit the brakes there seems to be a elec dip that causes the cd to stop for a second, the ac only works intermitenly, and when the ignition is turned on it sometimes does not have power and only comes on after a delay of 2-3 minutes. It runs well except for occasionally when I turn on the lights and ac and radio I get a power 'dip' and then it catches back up and runs fine...the alternator tests ok. It seems to somehow be affected by my alarm system but I am not certain if it is related...any ideas????

Sounds pretty familiar in some respects - give this thread a look and see if it helps any - it helped me.

FYI: 1995 4Runners with lots of electrical options seem to have this problem frequently
