95-3.0 Head Gasket
#2
Good luck with a 95.
Generally speaking the 95's were considered one of the only years where they had the "right" head gasket. My uncle has a 95 pickup with 3.0 and he ran it to 300,000 KM's without any head gasket problems before he decided to rebuild simply because he wanted to keep the truck.

I have a 95 and it was covered. However, I would spend the extra money and get ARP head studs and have them tourqe them to ARPs specs. And re-tourqe them after a few heat cycles. All head gaskets will have some settling during the first few complete heat cycles. This releases tension on the studs/bolts and that leads to HG failure.

I had a '95 that wasnt covered either...the early '95 model was but mine was considered a '95.5 where they "fixed" the problem...it will depend on what month your rig was actually made in '95...good luck
