92 4runner 22re drive belts

Just threw a belt: power steering. When I got under the hood I discovered that the alternator belt is on its last legs, as well as the AC compressor belt. How do I slacken the PS belt and the AC belt enough to slip off the old belts and slip on the new ones? I have the Chilton and the Haynes books but they don't give enough specifics for my particular model ( this a great truck - 191,350 miles, great compression all cylinders, still doesn't burn oil ). Any advice will be much appreciated.
