94 Topless Pics-finally......

(Topless=canopy removed and roofrack mounted on cab vice canopy-What did you think?)
Well I was being a dumbass and my 3V lithium battery in my digital cam went bad all of a sudden. New battery=good camera. Here are the new topless pics taken 10 minutes ago. :pat:

Looks great Rome. What's next, a Can-back top with another rack for your gear?

Nice! I didn't realize what a big difference in look taking the top off does. Also, I've never seen a roof tent on a 4runner before, only on a LC. Now I want a tent on my roof too

Yea that tent would be cool, but I thought the roof (at least the roof racks) could only hold 100 lbs. How do these things work? I read the FAQ's and am still not convinced my racks could hold that much weight.

I vote for the can-back all day long!! But between topless or not.. I kinda like it better with the cap myself... Plus 100% more cargo space..

Personally, I've always had a topper on all my trucks. As Lee stated, LOTS more cargo space.... and its secure if you have a 2 handle gate w/ good locks. I know too many people who have had things "walk off" from the beds of their trucks. Most tragic was my neighbor. Had a Dewalt combo kit (case, drill, circ. saw, saws-all and charger) just up and walk off.
Yessir, for me, a good fiberglass topper w/ dark windows every time.
Not that your truck aint lookin' F I N E!! Everytime you guys post pics of your trucks, I miss my Taco. Very nice P.U. seafarinman!

Thanks for the replies. As far as the roof racks, it is my understanding that the weight limit (175lbs) are for loads that will be carried while the vehicle is moving. Also, I think that the load limits are relative to the strength of the roof of the vehicle or in my case, if I get the can back, the strength of the steel hoops.

Looking good you got some Hella lighting there (pun intended) You and Corey should compete for the lowest gas mileage possible out of a 3.0 due to added accessories

I have to agree with you there UKMyers. But imagine that with the canopy it weighs at least 250 pounds more! But it is a truck after all, so my aerodynamics were never great to begin with.
