94 3.0 Air suction reed valve

Does anyone know of a place to acquire an air suction reed valve for a 3VZE thats not terribly expensive?

How does it reduce emissions and what noise does it make when it goes bad?

When it goes bad it makes a huge exhaust leak sound... You'll know when it goes bad.... I believe it aids the secondary air injection systems somehow.... Maybe controls the air injection into the exhaust?

It's basically just a one-way valve in the secondary air injection system. AKA pulsed air system (PAIR), it's what provides the "pulse". When an exhaust valve is closed, there's a temporary "vacuum" in the manifold. This causes the AS reed valve to open and draw fresh air into the exhaust gasses. As the exhaust valve opens and pressure increases the AS reed valve closes so exhaust gasses don't blow out through the PAIR system. The extra oxygen in the exhaust provides more thorough combustion and therefore less HC/CO out the tailpipe.

I need this part too, for an '87 22RE. If anyone has an idea where to find it please let me know! Supposedly the industry-standard name is "secondary air pulse valve" (AS reed valve is Toyota's terminology) but I'm unable to find it in any parts catalog.
