I just bought (stole?) an 87 4Runner with only 124k mi for $1500 that is in immaculate condition. There is no rust on the body, but there is some rust on two of the wheels. The tires presently are kind of old so I figured I might as well replace the wheels as well. Can anyone tell me the bolt pattern for the wheels on this vehicle? Are there any suggestions for replacement wheels? I'm looking for anything very low key, meaning absolutely nothing chrome or shiny.

 

i beleive the bolt pattern is 6 on 5.5. it's the same pattern that nissan and chevy use for their 6 bolt wheels. i put plain black steelies on my '89. i got 15x8's with 3.75" backspacing from unique wheels (www.uniquewheel.com) for $25 each. they're the same as the black american racing wheels that everyone has, but they were cheaper. so far i have about 15,000 miles on them and have had no problems.

btw, i like mike's suggestion. i have unique wheels with the fake beadlock...

 

If your anywhere near Cincinnati Ohio you can come over and HAVE my stock steel wheels. Not pretty, but they are still in good shape.
