8" v6 differential side gear
Hey guys I am trying to find a differential side gear for my 2002 4runner. Question I have are the sizes of them different on 8" 4cyl from 8"v6 or are they the same. If anybody has one they would like to let go of I'm interested. Any info greatly appreciated just got this rig in this condition.

Check with ZUK (Ken Francisco) He may be able to answer your question and may even have the part. Worth an email. https://www.gearinstalls.com/

Crown gear? or are you referring to the front diff ADD, either way ECGS supplied me with a complete 3rd member to swap out, pretty simple operation even with a e-locker, better than trying to set up a diff, I'm sure they can find what you're after.

You will need a lot more than just a crown gear, pretty sure you’ll want the pinion if there is any damage at all to the crown gear, x2 one time use crush sleeves incase you screw up, bearings, pinion seal, pattern paint, build a stand to hold it for working on, might aswell do axle bearings and seals if unknown.., again ECGS sells complete set up 3rd members ready to plug in the hole and bolt up, that is what I would do unless you are very proficient at Toyota rear diff rebuilds as it can get expensive fast.

That would be the spider gear the axle splines into, Toyota has a 2 pinion spider gear open diff, they are different part#’s e-locker vs non-elocker, and ratio dependant. Again this is all included with a complete 3rd member, and something tells me most people do not have the skills or tools to replace individual components and put it back together successfully without spending almost the cost of a ECGS unit upon core exchange, and usually if something lets go in a diff it takes out its partner next to it. Good luck to the OP, ZUK is also a great choice if local.

I had several 4 cyl rear diffs, a few V6 and two High Pinion 8" diffs in my stash. The 4 cyl diffs from 84-88 pickups had 2 spider gears on a single shaft. The V6 versions had a cross shaft and 4 spiders. My open HP's had just 2 spiders. I was going to go out to my shed and compare the side gears but it looks like I got rid of the baskets of parts I had stashed. Or they got "organized" into a crate and I can't find them right now.
I know some of this stuff is interchangeable since I used the open 4 spider carriers from the V6 rear diffs and put them into my high pinion front diff housings with lunchbox V6 Aussie Lockers in them. ZUK would know WAY more than I on the interchangeability.
I agree that ECGS is usually the best deal out there, high quality and they back up their products and their labor. I don't know the OP's intensions. I just thought I could maybe answer his question.
