2 tons...the cash you will spend on the mods will be almost as much as you would spend on a U-haul, Ryder or Budget rental. Putting 2 Tons in a Taco is asking for trouble unless you have some awesome Liability insurance.

Drive you taco out, load up the u-haul and dolley your taco behind the uhaul. Your friends are chipping in for gas right?

6 foot bed or 8, trailer or not, I don't think either would work with that much weight pushing you down the hill on I-40 into Alburquerque, or the up-and-down through the Rockies on I-70 in Colorado.

Like Colton requested, and especially if you're coming through CO, please let us know when you'll be here so we can stay uphill of you.

if you cant afford a new tundra, which is more of a 3/4 ton than a 1/2 ton really, get a chevy 2500 diesel. (maybe i'm trying to live out my fantasy through you)
