go with chevy and you cant go wrong. the 350 is damned near a bulletproof engine. (if thats whats in there). i was wanting a tahoe, but thats too much truck for me. i cant justify getting something that big just for myself, you know? good luck man.

i dunno guys... i have a 98 chevy ZR2 pickup that i have had for 5 years now and the only prob i have had with it was the fuel pump last year ($350) and a few brake jobs because of it stopping the 33's...

i come from a chevy family and have never had any probs with them.. made a mistake with a couple fords over the years but i wont get into that mess..

i have an 85 4runner now that has done nothing but cost me $$$$... the day i got it she blew off one of the radiator hoses and heated up, cracked the head... so with 130k i decided to rebuild the whole thing... after that about a month later the junk auto tranny went so i swaped in a manual which woke the truck right up... the power difference was very noticable... it still needs a few other minor things but you know what.... for the amount of money i have put into it i have to say its one of my favoret trucks! but dont get me wrong she is going to get some chevy driveline one day

Dexter, you're comparing vehicles that are 13 years apart. Wouldn't you expect a 23 year old truck (even a Toyota) to have some parts that will need replacing?? Not to say that Chevy's can't be great trucks, because I know they are. But your 'comparison' is a little unfair.

Ha ha. Don't worry, dude. My wife also used to have a Jeep, too, and it was a POS. But, my family has always had GMC's, and they were good trucks. But now, everything feels really cheap. My pops has a 05 GMC and everything's falling apart on it. Also only gets 14MPG. Friends with 04-06 Sierras all had problems. None of them were major like an engine blowing up, but they were just little things that kept failing or falling off. I'm not even going to talk about Ford's.

So,I guess MPGs aren't a concern or will be when gas does go over $5/gal and stays there? And you might not pay it off as fast as it'll depreciate when gas prices do rise again;there's so many big truck owners that are upsidedown on their loans within a year or two of buying the truck so hopefully you'll be getting a deal on one.

Tahoes are ok tho'.

Thats def for sure about the plants closing...we've got the plant here that builds the TrailBlazer, Envoy, Rainer, Ascender, and 9-7X. It's closing next year and no one knows if they will re tool to build something else. It's gonna kill a lot of local jobs.

Here is the traitor mobile

They are cool looking and all, but no way I'd spend that much on that car. Plus the interior is waaaaaay too cheap for a $70k+ car (much like most GMC's). I could think of several cars I'd spend $70k on before the Vette.
Ha.. a zo6 is more than worth the money. They can get 28mpg on the highway, they have as much power anybody would every need on the street(to the tune of 446 wheel hp on the 08 models) and will smoke any european car in the same class for a little less than half the price. so in my opinion, it is the best super car on the market for the money, but im strictly talking super cars. And its one of my fav. cars.
