I looked but could not find a def answer. Exactly what year and model 3rd gens came with the factory E-locker? Also, did only these models with the E come with 4.30 gears?? Thanks, WM

 

1996-2000 came with the e-locker and yes on the gears.

Not, not just the E-locker 4runners came with the 4.30. The 4.30 was most common with the E-locked rigs, but not all 4.30 were E-lock diffs.

 

Except for when they came with gears other than 4:30's. I bought my '97 SR5 4x4, V6, 5-speed manual, optional 265/70R16 tires, E-locker equipped 4Runner brand new.

It lists 4:10 gears on the monroney sticker, and was later confirmed as having 4:10 gears in the diffs.

Electric locking 3rd member:
- 4.56 ratio -> #41110-3D010
- 4.30 ratio -> #41110-3D080
- 4.10 ratio -> #41110-3D030
