Hyperlite,

I'm not trying to bust on you, but am curious how you figure you've got 8" of lift over stock, even if you include tire height- I didn't think 305's were that much bigger than 285's

This is the last water crossing (or first if you run it backwards) on Longwater trail in Colorado. Granted, this photo was taken in mid-May at the end of the spring run-off. Water is about three feet deep where Bob's Jeep got flooded.

I can't wait for this trail (and it's sister, Hackett) to re-open.

So with all that lift, do you break alot of cv's? Seems like it'd be alot of strain. Do you have manual hubs?

Hey Ken, long time no see. Except for getting my truck out of the driveway about a half-hour ago (steep downhill slope towards house), yes. Thank god for my crawler, threw it in low-low-reverse and let it idle out while holding the brake on whenever my tires slipped. I really wish I had my front driveline completed cause I have to make a run to SeaTac in a couple hours.

Hyperlite,

Thanks for the breakdown- I didn't realize you were running OME and spacers- you're CV angles as mentioned above must be pretty severe, any issues?

This is my deepest plunge. I realized I forgot to put the deckplate on after I went thru Talk about a close call and wanting to punch yourself in the face. I found that a small amount of water actually made its way thru the stock fender snorkle and only splashes thru the deck plate.

keep in mind Hyperlite has a winch/bumper, so hes really only at 2.5" of lift (maybe closer to 3"), not 2.5" from coils and 1.5" from spacers.

3" suspension + 2" body" + 1.25" tires = 6.25" over "stock".

not that it really matters...just an FYI
