So I know all the cool kids are replacing interior bulbs with LEDs, but I am boring and decided to just replace my burnt out bulbs with OEM parts. Replacing them is easy but like some others who have posted I found I had a hard time tracking down the right part numbers. I ended up having to make three separate visits and deal with three separate employees in the parts dept at my dealer before we got it all figured out. So in the interest of making someone else's life easier I thought I'd share.
There are plenty of other posts detailing how to take apart the area that houses these bulbs so I'll skip repeating all of those steps and pictures.
The lights I needed to replace are for the climate control, rear window, ECT, ashtray, and cigarette lighter.
Here is a pic of the dash on my 1999 4Runner SR5:

PART NUMBERS
Cig lighter: 84999-10250
Climate ctl: 90010-05152 (Qty 2)
Ashtray: 90010-05152
ECT: 90010-01042
Rear window: 90011-01038

Contrary to what I'd read the 90010-05152 bulbs came with the green "hat" already on them, so I didn't need to worry about saving the old ones.

 

I have a quick question...do you think that HVAC cluster will fit into the 97? I really don't like the levers in mine...
