Some of the sluggish issue you describe could be an effect of the manifold being cracked.

However, some more of the sluggish issue could just be that its slow. Its definitely no race horse but you'll get used to it and learn to love it.

Mine has 148k to my fiancees 100k on her Jeep Wrangler and holy crap what a difference. I drive hers for a day or two and am more than ready for my 4runner even though the Jeep is fun to drive and all. Build quality between the two on all fronts is like comparing apples to oranges......like I said...you'll learn to love it.

Ok just a little advice. If it has Toyota stamped on the vehicle somewhere its reliable, dependable, durable, and will take you home no matter what.
