4runner 3rz 5 speed mileage
I searched and came across a few threads, but nothing too specific.
I have the chance to buy a base 1996 with 160k miles that burns a little coolant for $3500 with a complete gasket kit. It still runs and drives and I have driven it. I does have more power than my 3.0 2nd gen runner did
What kind of gas mileage should I expect out of a 4runner with a 3rz and a 5 speed?

My brother was given my dads '98 4 cylinder (hence his name 98_3RZ) and he got around 18-20. Now, this truck also weighs a little less than your runner, and had manual hubs. You could probably expect a little less, or maybe even with that...
Btw, where in Colorado are you? Like it says over there <-- I'm in Longmont and my little brother is down in Lafayette and is a tech at boulder Toyota.

I'm gonna buy the 4runner from my boss this week after it gets a new head gasket and exhaust manifold.
I'm from Grand Junction but am gonna start attending School of Mines in Golden this fall
