Another note- bring your own grills/tables/chairs! Depending on when we get there, I'm not sure what we'll get for picnic tables!

Someone might wanna post directions, and _which_ parking area are you thinking of?

I've only been out there twice... I think I know that you drive west through Ballard and you're there when you turn right at the end of that main road.

There are several parking lots leading up to Golden G's, the first couple are for the Boaters, and you'll get towed if you park there (there are signs which tell you that). When you get closer to the park, there is a stop sign, on your left is another parking lot. If you continue straight into the park, there is parking along the road, then another parking lot beyond that. I think I'll try to get there around 6:30, so people can just look for my dark green 4runner and try to park nearby. I'm going to grab a picnic table if I can find an open one.

Whoa. I just found this thread.
So let me get this straight.
Meeting at Golden Gardens on the 9th at 7pm.
It's a hall for me coming from the south but I'll see if I could get a sitter and head on out there.

Mike

Cool Mike- I should have pointed you to it earlier, my bad! Bring the kid(s?) along if you'd like. Its a nice place if you haven't been before. Depending on how busy it is, I'm going to scrounge up some wood and try to snag a fire pit. Its a pretty popular spot during the summertime, so it fills up fast! I figure if people bring lawn chairs, minibarbeques, whatever, we'll have a good time.

Hope to see you there, and if not, wheeling on Thursday!

I'm bringing potato salad, and will try to pick up some paper plates and cups. If someone could grab a couple garbage bags, soda, chips, etc. Don't forget chairs/blankets to sit on!

I live about 8 miles from Golden Gardens (how convenient!). I'll try to post a map later today.

Put me down for carbs. I'm real good at picking out chips. I don't have a good feel for how many folks are coming, but I'll grab at least 3 bags.

I don't have anything along the lines of a portable grill, so I was just gonna opt for a deli sandwich.

Chair wise... I'll bring two collapsible chairs, but I only have one butt coming.

It'll just be me as well, but I've got two chairs. I've got a small grill that I'll bring, it looks like there will be a half-dozen of us, so it would do the job for whoever brings meat.

Nope, I think Virginia beat us to it. Thanks for the notes Mark, good write-up! It was alot of fun, and I think this club has alot of promise. Kevin, if you could take Mark's notes and email them to all the members, that would be great, give them an idea of what they missed!

Thanks, and see you tonight!
