3rz lift points

I am getting ready to do a clutch on a 1997 tacoma 4x4. This will be my second clutch. I see one hook at the front of the motor, but none in back like my old 22r. I want to attach my hoist to support it when the tranny is out. Do I need to install a rear hook point? Or is there some other way? Thanks

I've never supported an engine with the transmission removed, even heavy small block Chevys. I would say it isn't necessary, but others may.

I kinda also agree what Jason Said!! If your real paranoid a block under the rear of the oil pan.

I like having the rear of the engine down as low as I can get it to allow more space to get the top bolts.

I'm just afraid I will get it out then a family emergency comes up like it always does and it ends up hanging for two weeks. If I knew I could be done in a day or two, I agree it's not a big deal to let it hang... I'm a slow worker anyways.

If have had one hanging for a few years I don`t think two weeks is all that long.

I misplaced the Transmission and it took 4 years to find it I forgot I put it under the bed.

Haha. If it was ok after that long then I don think I will worry. I don't think it will take me that long but I hope that I didn't just jinx it by saying that!
