3rz fe engine vibration

I have a 1995 taco 4x4 with the 3rz fe engine. I recently replaced a cracked head and did a timing chain cover gasket while I was there. While removing the crank pulley I turned the engine counter clockwise which caused me to break and replace the left timing chain slipper. I got it all back together and it runs great, except for a constant engine vibration. The vibration happens when parked or driving and the frequency seems to increase with rpm; however, when driving it is only noticable when accelerating and idiling. I also got three new DTC's, misfire #1 cyl, misfire #2 cyl and crankshaft position sensor circut A performance. I took the valve cover off and verified the valve timing to be correct, I also reinstalled the distributor, and checked the compression, which ranged from 170-180 psi cold. Anybody got any ideas?-Thanks

I did. It was a misfire. Cracked spark plug. Rookie mistake.

timing cover gaskets?

when you replaced your timing cover were your new gaskets a bit shorter then the factory gaskets? I just purchased a OSK timing chain kit and the metal gaskets that came with it are about an inch shorter then the oems, i did also get a gaskets set that came with paper gaskets that are the exact fit of the original. I just wanted to know if there is a reason that the osk gaskets are shorter? I guess they want you to RTV the top portion to the head....i would much rather use the metal gaskets.
