Question 3rd Generation 4runner ?

Is there more room in the back seat of a 3rd generation 4runner compared to a second generation? I'm looking to fit a carseat in the back and I could sure use the room. Any help is much appreciated!

2nd gen..
Rear Head Room, in. = 38.3
Min. Rear Leg Room, in. = 31.6

3rd gen..
Rear Head Room, in. = 38.7
Min. Rear Leg Room, in. = 34.9

so, there is a couple inches more room... only took me 10 seconds to find this information through google.

Yes, there is a lot more leg room in the back seats at the expense of cargo area reduction.

Not sure on 3rd vs 2nd gen but I have plenty of room for our carseat.
You can check out the LATCH mod in my sig too.

Actually on top of having more rear seat room the 3rd gen also has more cargo room than a 2nd gen. This number remains higher for a 3rd gen regradless of whether the rear seats are up or down, meaning there is always more cargo room in a 3rd gen. I would post the numbers but they are readily available online, look them up if you're interested.

The numbers yes, but usable cargo space no. Just by looking you can see the difference in space behind the rear seats (when they're up).
