Hi, speedhut has asked me to send in some pics to them of the speedometer cluster's. I don't have a digital camera yet so I need some help. They need pics of the 01 and 02 (4x4 and 4x2) and also the 99-00 4x4. All right Duckfan! Sounds like they are thinking about doing the '99-'02 faces! Common' guys! Take some pics of your gauges...close up of the fuel and temp ICONS in particular. Sleepy Wake up!!! take pics of your '02 gauges...it's 2WD. Just 4WD will be needed if Sleepy takes pics,,,I know she will 'cause she want's 'em too! Wake up! Thanks for the update Duck.

i'm awake! Okay i'll take some pictures, do i have to address the email in a special way or something??? Sound I take pictures in daytime or night time??

 

My only access to a digicam is my uncle. He's in Brazil right now, but I'm not sure if he took it with him or not. If no one else has got pics of a '01-'02 4WD before he gets back I'll get a few. I'll also try to get one with all of the indicators on as well. I think my aunt said he's only going to be gone a week or so.

 

Hi again, Speedhut needs pics of the speedometer clusters listed at top. I would try to take some pics that show the different indicator lights and their locations. (when you first turn on your 4runner and most of the lights turn on for a split second) that would help them I believe. They didn't tell me exactly what they are going to do with the pics but my guess is they are going to see if they can make the 99-00 4x2 cluster work for the other ones. I think there are 4 different clusters. (I could be wrong) 1. 99-00 4x2 (one I sent in) 2. 99-00 4x4 3. 01-02 4x2 4. 01-02 4x4 If anyone could send in some pics it would really help get this going.

Okay took pictures but they look terrible, I think it's because the light from the gauges, they look all blury and you can't tell what's what, it's just a bunch of blury red images.... I will try again in the day time.

 

I got a couple pics with all the lights on and a couple with them off. I have to wait for my uncle to go back to work on Monday for him to send them to me. Then I'll send them your way Duckfan.

 

I'd love to if everything works out and they can create guages that fit from only pictures. We'll see what they can do though...

 

Hey Vince. Thanks for helping out man. Speedhut already has the actual '99 2WD...if not, I'd be taking pics too. I'm sure with the speedo, tach, fuel and temp pieces the same size, all they need is icon location. I want them reverse indies too.

Okay I FINALLY sent off those pictures of my gauges, hopefully that's all the pics they need for the 02 2WD.

 

I sent in my pics a week ago, but I was waiting for a response to post. I got one today but he just thanked me and said that it would help, so there you go. Hopefully we can look forward to some progress soon!

 

I just got my email saying that it helps too, so hopefully pretty soon, because i'm about to just go crazy over here.
