3rd Gen rear lift question
A buddy of mine is thinking about lifting his 4runner soon. It's a '99 or 2000. He doesn't offroad or anything so he wants to keep it simple. He'll probably end up going with spacers front & rear.
The question is...for the rear does he have to install new (longer) shocks? He'll probably be going with a 2.5" or 3" spacer.
Thanks for any info.

I just put a 2.5 inch cornfed spacer and i still have the stock shocks. I don't see any problems with them thus far, but its only been a day. We ran out of time with the rears and decided to bag the new bilsteins and do it this weekend. I am having an issue with the front. I got a 2.5 inch up front but it sits about 3/4" higher in the front right now with the new bilsteins. I"m gonna put the other bil's in the rear this weekend but i highly doubt that it will lift it any higher. I'll see and then if it doesn't even out, i'll email cornfed and see what they say. its on a 98 runner
