3rd Gen lower ball joint????
My lower ball joints on both side are toast. I've done some searching but haven't really found what I'm looking for. I have some mechanical skill and can borrow/rent tools if I don't have what's needed, but thats my problem... I don't know whats involved!
Can anyone link me to a step by step explanation? Or give me a basic rundown? I've changed out cv's and stuff, so I'm not completely helpless, but there are just some things a shop really needs to do, and I'm not sure what catagory this falls into...
97 4runner 4x4 sr5 if that helps

Ya I heard that I'll prob need a pickle fork (wtf is that?) and a hammer, but beyond that I'm a little clueless what the process involves. Seems like I have a manual at home. I'll take a look when this awful day of work is over....

on my 99 all it took was a puller. and aside from that if you can change a cv it should be just as simple. if i remember the extra step was to remove the ball joint after you move the steering knuckle.

Don't forget to take the clip off the end of the cv so you don't separate it like me.
