3rd alignment in 9 months!!!
#1
Hello all! I have a 99 extended cab 4x4 at, bone stock. I got the truck last october. Within 3 months I had to hold the steering wheel 2-3 inches to the left to keep it straight. Got it aligned the tech foung noechanical problems. Another 3 months same problem, this time he says the rack needs to be tightned up. Surely now my problem is fixed! Nope, and now it seems in a week my steering wheel isa t the 10 oclock position again, but it is not pulling. My question is, since my ball joints are tight is my rack toast, or am I overlooking something?

new inner tie rod boots - 2
new inner and outer tie rods ends.
or a new alignment mechanic
----
what dictates steering wheel alignment is the number of threads
where the inner and outer tie rod connect,
and whether or not the
locknuts are doing the job.
new tie rods are cheap enuf
new alignment shop might be your first step
