3mm Overbored Throttle Body

Is anyone using these on there V6 3.4 engines. I saw one from EL prototype for $275.00. Would I see any gains in performance with the bigger T/B.

In my experience with overbored TB's, they just are not worth it. Expect to gain 2-3HP throughout the rev range, if you are lucky (you cant feel that anyway) - and only if its port matched to the intake manifold. Which means you will need a dremel and a careful hand.

For the money, you can get much better performance gains. Have you tried the ISR mod?

I know what you guys mean, $275.00 for 2~3 HP , but if you think about it this is not the only mod I will be doing. I already removed the elbow and going to remove the silencer. Also going to buy a spintech exhaust ,TRD or JBA(if they can fit), Flex-a-lite 210 E-Fan and maybe the SMT-6 or APEXi S-AFC. All this would net at least 30+ HP and 35+ TQ.

At least 30 HP?? How do you figure that?

The TRD supercharger and nothing else gets you 40 HP at the wheels.

Don't get sucked into thinking that all this stuff adds on top of each other and increases the peak power by the total. It will not.

When these placed claim 5 HP here and 10 HP there, you need to find out where in the RPM band it is and where in the RPM is looses power. If you did very careful dyno testing you might be suprised that in the areas you gain, you will loose more in others making the overall result a negative.

Just don't start thinking that if you start off with a 190 peak HP engine and add headers 15 HP, a hot air intake 12 HP, cat-back exhaust 8 HP that you now have a 225 peak HP engine. It is not going to happen that way and those people marketing products don't really want you to know that.
