3500 RPM Idle...
Yeah so just like the title says....
History...
Got the car about 3 months ago. It's a 1996 4runner 3.4 manual with a 2nd gen supercharger. The idle seemed to be bobbing around a little high here and there when warmed up or even cold it didn't seem to matter. I looked around here and figured it was the IAC but never had time to work on it since it didn't bother me and having no tools while away at school didn't help... So yesterday it's stayed at 2000RPM for an idle the highest yet and way too high for me so after work I decide to take a look at it toss some seafoam in it for the hell of it through the PCV on the left side and see if anything happens. Drive it down the hill and then it starts sticking at 3500 RPM idle limp it home and here I am.... The linkage seems to be fine no tension on the cables and the butterfly valve seems to be good too... Any input would be appreciated. I'm going to start ripping the throttle body off and cleaning it to hell. Seafoam maybe break carbon up and now jammed to hell?
Thanks everyone great forum I did search but found nothing with this high of idle..
