350 Swap?
#2
Just say NO! to chevy!!! j/k.
If I had an older toy that needed a new engine and wanted to do a V-8 swap, I would most likely use a Ford 302/5.0L, just because I know more about them, also, I think it is a slightly easier conversion, because the 302 is narrower and has its distributor in the front.
I just realized I almost exactly quote the North West Off Road Catalog, hehehe...Take a look here at the info in the NWOR catalog (tranny and T-case adapters, mounts, etc.
Also look here at some stuff from downey.

lol...I was going to...
Mattimus.....I bought a chevy 305 and was going to do the conversion. I even bought all the adapter parts from advance adapters. But I heard some horror stories of frame twisting, the tranni and the transfer and the rear end not holding up.....so I returned everything....but all the adapter parts cost me about $1,600....but that was me keeping everything from the motor back stock.....the bell housing cost $800 in itself..lol....Hope that helped..
