Hey! Welcome to the forum!

I haven't heard of any problems for the '03 4Runners. I don't own one though, so the folks here that do could answer that better.

Sorry to hear about your Acura. Those are really sweet cars, especially the Type S. I had always thought that Acura/Honda were good vehicles. Maybe it was just a bad dealership mechanic or something. I dunno.

Well, sorry I couldn't help you any more. Just wanted to say Welcome!

Have fun.

In the 4 months they have been available I don't think they have had time to break yet.

The are still pretty new. There are a few Yotatech members that own them. No one has complained about having any problems at all. I am sure that if they had issues, they would have been pretty vocal about it.

I say go buy it. They are really nice. Then you could hang out with us cool Toyota guys (and gals).

Welcome to the forum and good luck with the 4Runner.

Welcome to the forum ...I say go for it. It will be nice to have a lot more yotatech members with '03s and gain knowledge from them on mods, etc.

hey 260:

welcome to this board. jx94148 is right about the truck itself. this vehicle is too new to tell if there are any known problems.

The v8 is the same tundra/lc/seq one from back in 98. the 5 speed tranny on the v8 is new tho but it does come standard in the lc this year (which is comforting news). the 5 speed is def a big plus! I love it

the v6 is a completely new redesign (they're still using the 4 speed tranny). this engine's only been around for about month if that so it'll really be hard to tell if there any problems.

if you're looking into the v6, you're gonna have to wait about another 6-9 months before anyone can give you a better estimation of how the new motor is.

Anyhow, either way you'll be safe to say it'll be all smiles if and when you get it!!!
