34 versus 34r?

34 versus 34r?

What have those of you with a series 34 done to remedy the battery cables? I figured it would be a straight up change. Looks like it it is a custom oem wire harness. So, any write ups or pictures or good descriptions of what I can do to make the 34 work? (it does have the side "posts" if that matters.)

Assuming your talking about a Optima battery, I had to re-route the white wire in the fuse box so the cables could reach the terminals. I also re-bent the top battery bracket, rather than using the spacer under the battery.

I turned my yellow 34 on its side terminals facing firewall bottom facing bumper and thats that.

i did the same as xcmountain and all the stock wires reached. since then ive upgraded wire size tho, which was easy so it doesnt matter what u do with it

The pain in the ass was of all the auto stores here in Orlando none of them carry the R series and they look at me funny when I ask for it. So I figured well duh they can be mounted this way and that right on.
