33x9.50 on stock 3rd gen??

I know people run 33x10.5 tires on 1"-1 1/2" lift, I did some measuring w/ the tires stuffed and turned. To me it looks like they would fit w/o any lift and if needed many just 1/2". I am talking about the BFG AT 33x9.50x15. Anyone have these or know how they fit?

There is no way thoes will fit. 33's are huge. You really need at least an inch body lift for them to work.

The diameter is not always the problem, the width and wheel offset has a lot to do with it, and I'd use the stock wheels. As far as 33's being "huge", people always think of 33x12.50 when thinking of 33's, and it is that 12.50 that rubs fenders mixed w/ the 33" Dia. I currently have 31x10.50's w/ 6" of top of tire to bottom of wheel well clearance. From 31's to 33' of the same width you only need 1" of extra clearance all around when stuffed and turning. Well when stuffed and turned I have over 1" of clearance and with the 33x9.5 it would be 1" skinnier than my current 10.50's. And not to be rude, but I'm curious to hear from people that actually have 3rd gens.

I've got a 3rd gen on 285's, about 11" wide. Those aren't going to fit stock, maybe with a 2" bodylift, probably not even though-and definitely not offroad. With mine, I have 2.5" suspension lift and have pounded the pinch weld flat and cut a little metal on the front to make them fit on stock wheels. From what I've seen on mine, the height makes as much difference as the width.

I bought my 33 9.50X15 from a guy had them on an 85 Pickup. They cleared his OK, but his 22RE wasn't strong enough to run em. He went back to 31 10.50.

The 33's clear my landcruiser OK. I only have add-a-leafs on stock springs.

We had some 33x10.5's on our red Tacoma when it had stock suspension and they cleared well, we never took it off-road like that but it never rubbed on road at all. I'd imagine that 33x9.5's would clear pretty well as long as you hammer the pinch-weld down and keep them on stock wheels.
